APPLICATION GUIDELINES

Eligibility for Admission:

The applicant should be a registered undergraduate (preferably) or a graduate student meeting the following criteria.

  • Over 18 years of age;
  • Possess great academic standing (has the equivalent of a Cumulative Grade Point Average (GPA) score of at least 3.0 out of 4.0 or a B or a 7.5 out of 10);
  • Fluent in the English language for academic purposes;
  • Will continue his/her studies at his/her home university after completing the AsTW program.

Application Requirements:

The following requirements must be submitted to AsTW by means of the downloadable forms (xls, xlsx, doc, docx) by October 11, 2019.
Application materials will be accepted by e-mail or regular mail.

A copy of an official English language test score (either TOEFL IBT-60/CBT-173/PBT-500(PBT) or IELTS(Academic) – Band 5.0 or PTE-41 or the equivalent. Students without any official test score is required to provide verification letter from home university as proof of the language proficiency)

Postgraduate students must submit.

The Certificate must be completed and signed by a physician.

All applicants must submit an official letter or document from the applicant’s home university/academic institution to confirm the applicant’s enrollment or student status at that university/ academic institution.

Travel Arrangement:

Accepted applicants have to submit the following materials by the deadline set by AsTW. AsTW will contact successful candidates in due course. The completed forms should be submitted to the AsTW Office by E-mail or fax.

  • Flight Information to and from Kuala Lumpur.
  • International travel insurance certificate (copy)

International Travel Insurance:

All AsTW students must obtain a health/medical and accident insurance for the period of AsTW. AsTW requires students to take out any such insurance in their own country before entering Malaysia.

AsTW shall not bear any responsibility for costs caused by illness, injury and/or death of the students and any other damage that may occur as a result of accident, disaster, or other unexpected circumstances.

Participation Requirements:

AsTW regards students’ participation throughout the program term as essential. Therefore, we will ask students to arrive at University of Malaya, Kuala Lumpur on Friday, February 21, 2020 and stay until the final event of the farewell dinner on March 5, 2020.
