College of Asia Pacific (CAP)<\/span><\/span><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

The College of Asia Pacific (CAP) is a short-term study abroad and international education collaborative program for Japanese and international students.
Participants will study with university students from the Asia Pacific region to learn about common issues in the wider Asia region through collaborative learning in the form of problem-based learning (PBL) and team-based learning (TBL). The participants will learn firsthand differences in the way in which people perceive and solve problems as the program promotes intellectual exchanges among students with different cultural and social backgrounds.
With a view to studying abroad for a longer period of time in the future, students will have the opportunity to join the international community and take a first step toward becoming a global citizen.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

Three skill sets that can be acquired through the CAP<\/strong><\/strong><\/div><\/div>

  1. Multifaceted thinking through collaborative learning with students who have different cultural and social backgrounds<\/strong><\/strong><\/li>
  2. Logical thinking through discussions and group work<\/strong><\/strong><\/li>
  3. Communication skills to convey one\u2019s thinking actively<\/strong><\/strong><\/li><\/ol><\/div><\/div>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n

    (1) Multifaceted thinking through collaborative learning with students who have different cultural and social backgrounds<\/span><\/span><\/h4>\n\n\n\n

    Participants may be initially hesitant to speak up because of concerns that they might make mistakes. However, they will have many opportunities to express their views by trial and error and learn not to feel embarrassed about making mistakes. In this way, they will cultivate the ability to communicate actively.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n
