Eligibility Criteria<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p>Applicants must satisfy all of the following requirements:<br \/>\n<div class=\"ol-circle li-mainbdr main-bc-before\">\n<ol>\n<li>Applicants must be enrolled at a university outside Japan and, in principle, be undergraduate students majoring in Japanese studies (excluding first-year students at the time of participation in the program).<\/li>\n<li>The Japanese Studies Program is conducted entirely in Japanese, and all classes and related activities are carried out in Japanese. Applicants must have already completed intermediate-level Japanese language study and possess sufficient Japanese proficiency to take courses on Japanese society and culture offered in Japanese at Kyushu University. Applicants are expected to have passed Level N1 of the Japanese-Language Proficiency Test (JLPT) or possess equivalent Japanese language proficiency.<\/li>\n<li>Applicants must remain enrolled at their home universities upon completion of the program.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<\/div>\n<h2 class=\"hh hh4 main-c main-bdr\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"2_Application_Guidelines_Required_Documents_and_Deadlines\"><\/span>2. Application Guidelines, Required Documents, and Deadlines<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p>Applicants wishing to apply for the JLCC Program are required to complete the application form in Japanese.<\/p>\n<h3 class=\"hh hh5 pastel-bc\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"1_Japanese_Government_MEXT_Scholarship_Students_Japanese_Studies_Students\"><\/span>(1) Japanese Government (MEXT) Scholarship Students (Japanese Studies Students)<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h3>\n<div class=\"ol-circle li-mainbdr main-bc-before list-raw\">\n<ol>\n<li><strong>Applying through Embassy Recommendation<\/strong><br \/>\nApplicants who wish to apply as a Japanese Government (MEXT) Scholarship student through Embassy Recommendation should note that application procedures vary by country. Tuition and Tuition Waivers<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p>JLCC students need to pay a tuition fee, an admission fee and an examination fee as below.<\/p>\n  <div class=\"sng-box box4 main-bdr\">\nA) Tuition Fee: 29,700yen (monthly fee)<br \/>\nB) Admission Fee: 84,600yen<br \/>\nC) Examination Fee: 9,800yen<br \/>\n<\/div>\n<p>However, if you meet either of the following conditions (1) or (2) below, all of the fees listed above will be waived.<\/p>\n<div class=\"li-mainbdr li-pastelbc strong\">\n<ol>\n<li>If your home university has concluded an inter-university student exchange agreement with Kyushu University, and you participate in this program as an exchange student under such an agreement.<\/li>\n<li data-section-id=\"hltwpp\" data-start=\"332\" data-end=\"492\">If you are selected as a Japanese Government (MEXT) Scholarship Student under the \u201cJapanese Studies Students\u201d category and are accepted by Kyushu University.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<\/div>\n<h2 class=\"hh hh4 main-c main-bdr\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"5_Scholarships\"><\/span>5.
