Kyushu University offers a limited number of scholarships to students from ASEAN countries who presents a strong academic record. All applicants are considered but priority will be given to students with ASEAN nationalities and currently studying at an ASEAN country.

The scholarship fund can cover the AsTW program fee, but it does not cover travel expenses to and from Bangkok, local transportation, and personal expenses (souvenirs, laundry, etc.).

The ASEAN countries include:
Brunei, Cambodia, Indonesia, Laos, Malaysia, Myanmar, Philippines, Singapore, Vietnam, and Thailand.

There are no scholarship application forms to be filled out by an applicant. The scholarship award process will be on a competitive basis with an emphasis on applicants that can contribute the most to multi-cultural dynamics in and outside of the classroom. Officials from both Kyushu University and Mahidol University will make the decision on scholarship recipients.
