At the International Student Center, we provide a Japanese Training for Advanced Studies (JTAS) lasting approximately 6 months. Although the course targets are research students under the Japanese government (MEXT) scholarship program from Kyushu University and the Northern Kyushu area who are intending to enter the Graduate School, all foreign students enrolled at Kyushu University are able to attend when there are vacancies for applicants.
The aims of the program are to acquire basic Japanese skills and an understanding Japanese culture and society.
This program is suitable for students who would like to focus on learning Japanese for the first 6 months or so and then concentrate on research at the Graduate School.

留学生センターでは、約６ヶ月間の集中日本語研修コースを提供しています。受講対象者は、九州大学と九州北部地域の大学院入学前の国費研究留学生ですが、定員に余裕があるときは、九州大学に在籍する全留学生が受講することができます。
このコースでは、基礎的な日本語力を身につけて日本文化や日本社会を理解することを目指しています。
まず、約６か月間、集中的に日本語を勉強して、そのあと、大学院での研究に専念したい学生向けのコースです。
